House Rules
Check-In & Check-Out
- Check-in: from 3:00 PM
- Check-out: by 10:00 AM
- Late check-outs are subject to availability and additional charges. Please inquire in advance.
Shoes and Tatami Mats
- Please remove all outdoor shoes at the entrance. Indoor slippers are provided for your convenience.
- When entering the tatami room, slippers must be removed. Only bare feet or socks are permitted on tatami mats.
- Avoid placing heavy items on tatami mats including luggage.
Walls & Flooring
- Some walls are delicate natural clay finished, so keep them dry and avoid moisture to prevent damage.
- Our natural wood floors, ceilings, and walls add warmth and character. Please keep them dry and free from wet items to help maintain their beauty.
- A designated area is provided for luggage – kindly place it there and lift it when possible to protect flooring.
Garden Entrance
- Do not step on or move the bigger stones; they are arranged to reflect Japanese aesthetics.
- The tree is delicate – please avoid touching its branches or leaves, and do not pour water on it.
The garden ambiance lights turn on automatically from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, please do not try to disconnect the cords
Quiet Hours
- Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Please use indoor voices and avoid loud activities.
No Smoking or Open Flames
- Smoking, candles, incense, and open flames are strictly prohibited indoors.
No Pets
- Pets are not permitted on the property.
Safety Guidelines
Stair Safety
- Stairs are steep and narrow; use caution and always hold onto handrails.
- Closely supervise children on stairs.
Traditional Japanese Windows (Shoji)
- Shoji (paper windows) are delicate; handle gently and avoid leaning or pushing.
Power Panel
- The power panel on the ground floor is locked but has a small gap. Do not touch it.
Balcony
- The balcony (accessible from the living room next to the dining area) has a locked metal gate. Do not climb over it.
